Grantmaking Guidelines

Eligibility

Organizations must be classified by the Internal Revenue Service as public charities and tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986. Further, organizations must meet the Foundation’s current funding priorities. Because the Foundation does not consider unsolicited proposals, organizations must submit an online Letter of Inquiry. Proposals submitted without a Letter of Inquiry will NOT be reviewed by the Foundation.

Restrictions

No grants are made to individuals. The Foundation does not accept unsolicited proposals.

Grant Information

Grants typically range in size between $20,000 and $50,000.

Type of Support

The Foundation will support general operations as well as consider funding specific programs, capacity building, strategic planning, evaluation, program development, matching grants and endowment/reserve funds.
