Our mission is to give boldly of our resources and amplify local solutions that chart a course towards inclusive prosperity.

We envision a vibrant DC where all individuals — especially racialized people and those who have experienced systemic discrimination — are healed from injustices of the past, have access to the resources they need to fulfill their potential, and participate in an inclusive, equitable, and thriving community of their design.

We know that how we do this work is just as important as what we do. We make general operating grants because we trust that our partners who are closest to the issues know best how to allocate resources.
